Rhizosphere Inoculants

The concentration and diversity of microbes that is found in and around roots is typically much greater than in the rest of the soil. The roots provide nutrition for these microbes through exudates; in return, these same microbes promote plant growth directly by either facilitating resource acquisition (i.e., nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization or mineralization, sulfur oxidation), or by modulating plant hormone levels.

The microbial actors in the root zone work in concert to stimulate, nourish and protect the plants. Lallemand Plant Care’s experience in microbial technologies enables us to develop, produce and control the variables in a growing number of bene cial micro-organisms.
